- Satellite distances (10 km and 3 km) in the best traditions of X-Waters are also from point A to point B. No swimming in rounds!
- Excellent geographical location and infrastructure: already three hours after the swim you can listen to Mozart at the Vienna Opera or enjoy a gondola tour in the big canal in Venice.

To the attention of the last year participants: this year we will be swimming in the opposite direction - from Klagenfurt to Velden, and the starting camp will be exactly in Velden. Please keep this in mind when booking your accommodation!
17,5 km: distance from one end of the lake‑ to the other, the starting point is the beach in Klagenfurt, the finish is on the beach in Velden, same place where all other distances are finished.
10 km: the starting point is from the beach in Pörtschach, the finish is on the beach in Velden.
3 km: start in Schaukraftwerk Forstsee, finish in Velden.
500 m: Start and fihish in Velden.
KIDS: 150M, 300M, 450M start and finish in Velden. Registration on the day of the event.
Kids C (2010 and younger) - 150m
Kids B (2007, 2008, 2009) - 300m
Kids A (2004, 2005, 2006) - 450m
Convenient infrastructure and beautiful landscapes have made Wörthersee the most popular holiday destination in Austria and Germany. Life here is rich with sports activities, festivals and active recreation. The lake is surrounded by eight resort towns, each has something interesting to look at. They are typical Austrian, well-groomed and cozy, while each has its own character. The most famous are Velden and Klagenfurt. The main distance of 17 km is located just between them. Do not forget to look around while you are swimming!
X-WATERS WÖRTHERSEE SWIM IS YOU!
And here it is, the last start of this season! 17 km - it was probably the best start I participated in. I will not even describe the beauty of Lake Wörthersee, everyone who comes to Austria in the summer should definitely visit it! Thank you so much X-WATERS for organizing such a cool start! Without you, I would not have been here, and I certainly would not have swum 17 km in the lake. X-WATERS - You are the best!!!! I hope next year you will organize again the Wörthersee Swim and you will find new, cool places for swimming.

The Russian X-WATERS Open Water Series visited Austria this past weekend and offered a magnificent location for Open Water fans in the crystal blue Wörthersee
Well, so ended my little trip to Austria and my main swim for 17 km # wörtherseeswim, which took place on September 16, 2018. It was a hard struggle at a distance of 17 km and really challenging for me! Last kilometers seemed to be the most difficult of the whole distance! Guys, I am the SECOND in the absolute classification at a distance of 17 km!! I'M HAPPY!!! I would like to thank everyone who supported me with all heart and believed in my victory! For me it is important and valuable! I would like to thank the organizer of X-WATERS Alexander Bazanov for the swim-dream in Lake Wörthersee! We will wait with the members of the fitness club for the same good swim next year!
Today I returned to the pool after a week break, but it seemed that I had not been swimming for ages! Some photos from Wörthersee Swim for motivation, what a magical swim it was!
#wortherseeswim is finished; it was a nice swim, especially for fans sunbathing on the beach waiting for swimmers. We were pleased today with beautiful nature, clear lake and strong athletes. The guys from Ufa very worthy performed.
It seems that in Austria there is a corner that radiates energy. Good, clean, bright. When you wake up in the morning from the shoulder pain, but at the same time you are smiling. This is a part of your reward. And on the neck you have probably the most precious medal. When after breakfast you want to come back to this place and say “thank you”. Thank you to the water for allowing to swim. For washing away once again all unnecessary and for opening a new path. For changing consciousness and showing new guidance. Why do people swim long distances? For testing themself? Unlikely. In order to get to know yourself. Better @alexander_bazanov thank you for what you are doing. Wörthersee Swim 2018. It was amazing to swim surrounded by the Alps
WÖRTHERSEE MEMORIES. Story about our 17 km swim «Time to come up with something new! And something new came up very quickly. Kosta proposes to participate in a 17 km swim through the lake Wörthersee, which is organized by the company X-WATERS. Why not, 17 km we have not swum yet, and the lake is incredibly beautiful. We must swim!».
We swam #wortherseeswim of X-WATERS! I and @radmir_bikmet made 3 km Dan @charnog covered 17 km It was awesome! I love to combine business with pleasure! Anyone who is making sport - hi! Who is not making sport, you have to start urgently - this is the best drug!

11.30 Start is at 11:30 at the boat landing in Pörtschach. Departure from Velden is at 11:30. Arrival of all athletes at the start at 11:00 at the latest.

3 KM / SCHAUKRAFTWERK - VELDEN
15.00 Start is at 15:00 at the Schaukraftwerk Forstsee.
14.15 Departure from Velden is at 14:15. Arrival of all athletes at the start at 14:30 at the latest.

16.30 Start in Velden Kurwiese. Triangulation course on the banks of the Velden promenade.

HOW TO GET THERE
Velden is located at the European crossroads; you can get there using different options. The nearest major Austrian airport is‑ Salzburg (200 km), but ‑ Slovene Ljubljana (80 km) is even closer, a little further, but also within a few hours of driving‑ there is Vienna (300 km), Venice (280 km), Munich (350 km), and Bratislava (400 km). From Salzburg or Vienna it is very easy to get there by train or bus, and you can easily use a rented car.
Klagenfurt (17 km from Velden) itself also has an airport and you can find some flights which would require connection in Vienna.
