Borovoye Lake is one of the most beautiful places in Kazakhstan, a resort popular among residents of the capital. It is called the "pearl of Kazakhstan" and "Kazakhstan Switzerland".The lake's water is very clear, due to the fact that the shores are mostly granite or sandy. The depths are small, a maximum of 7 meters, and on average = 3.4, which means that the water warms up well and, as a bonus, you can see the bottom at a distance. The shores are very picturesque. Mountains and hills covered with coniferous forest, bizarre rocks - all this remains in the memory of even a traveler who has seen a lot for a long time.
In the western part of the lake there is an amazing Rock (stone island) of Zhumbaktas - a mystery rock. If you look at Zhumbaktas from the blue bay, you can see a girl in it, if you look at it from the other side - a terrible witch. Let's hope that she turns the right side to us!
Burabai land is the pearl of Kazakhstani tourism. Forests, clear, moderately cool water, a large area of the water basin.
- 1 k is a simple route for amateurs, laid in a circular pattern.
- 4 k – crosses Lake Borovoye from one coast to the other.
- 8 k – for brave and trained athletes, you will have to completely swim across the lake, go around Mount Zhumbaktas and return back.
How to get there:

You can get to Borovoye via Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan (4-5 flights from Moscow daily, as well as direct flights from Omsk, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, etc.)
By car: An excellent new highway leads from Astana to Borovoye, travel time is about 3 hours: 219 km along the Astana - Kokshetau highway to Shchuchinsk via a toll road. At the fork, without stopping to go to the right in the direction of the "Olympic Training Center" (NATIONAL SKI CENTER), drive straight another 12 km from the ski slope. Participants will start from the shore. They swim the distance, swimming the buoys counterclockwise (swim from the right side, leaving the buoy on the left). The start and finish are in the same place on the beach.
• 4 k
The distance runs through the entire lake in one line. Participants will start from the Nomad Pier, opposite the Zhumbaktas Rock. The finish line is located at the main venue of the event.
• 8 k
Participants will start from the shore. They swim the distance, swimming the buoys counterclockwise (swim from the right side, leaving the buoy on the left). The start and finish are located at the main venue of the event.
• relay 3x500 m
Participants will start from the shore. They swim the distance, swimming the buoys counterclockwise (swim from the right side, leaving the buoy on the left). Participants replace each other on the shore at the start-finish point. The start and finish are located at the main venue of the event.
Lake Borovoye or Auliekol (sacred lake) is one of the largest lakes in the Kokshetau system. Here you can be content with swimming in clear refreshing water, with a sandy or rocky bottom, as well as walking through the coniferous forest, which surrounds the entire water surface.
Borovoi's nature generously shares its gifts. Here you can spend time away from your usual life, mentally relax from the daily hustle and bustle, recharge your batteries.
Every part of this fabulous place is saturated with ancient stories and beliefs. And this factor has made it possible to develop an excursion direction, and in your free time you will be able to visit places with a guide of varying complexity: from a small excursion to an amateur hike in the mountains with an escort.
